The Unexpected Life Lessons Visiting London’s Viral Croissant Shop 🥐
The wife and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary (shout out to Amelia Macklin for putting up with me!). To celebrate, we decided on a little staycation, ticking off some of the spots in London we’d wanted to visit for a while.
One of the highlights? The viral sensation, Philippe Conticini—home of those giant croissants you’ve probably seen if you’ve ever ventured to the food side of social media.
Here’s what I learned from this delicious detour:
1️⃣ Go Big or Go Home: The croissants are indeed massive (as demonstrated by Mils 📸).
2️⃣ Virality Equals Responsibility: Going viral isn’t just about the buzz or the ‘moment’. Brands have a responsibility to deliver a service that lives up to the hype, and Philippe Conticini absolutely nailed it.
3️⃣ Downtime is Underrated: In the creative world, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and forget that downtime is crucial. Stepping away isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity for keeping your mind sharp and your ideas fresh.
Here’s the truth: The time we spend not working is just as important as the time we spend working.
It’s about achieving great things and also knowing when to hit pause, recharge, and come back stronger. Sometimes, a giant croissant (and some quality time with your favourite person) is what you need to get back in the game.
Question: What do you do to recharge? ⚡️
